Sir Topham Hatt

Guess you figured out where we spent the afternoon. With Thomas the Tank and Sir Topham Hatt.
Jonathan talking with the folks in the seats across the aisle.

Couldn't figure her out... but Rachel loved riding with her face on the window.

More awesome than Thomas or Sir Topam Hatt... was the petting zoo. Rachel LOVED the animals.
Brotherly love or Brotherly abuse?

It seemed like Isaac was taking dozens of photos. He was.....
because he didn't realized Jonathan was standing beside me... this was the only one Jonathan was in!

Dinner Time! Instead of trying to make our own whipped cream this year... Momma bought store bought canned whipped cream for our berries in ice-cream cones. Mmmmm!
Saying good-bye to Thomas.

Recital

Isaac has been taking piano lessons from Mrs Nancy since last summer. What a blessing!
His first recital with her and Mrs Nancy's 53rd!

Garden Time

Who knew gardening could be so much fun! Mr. Eddie Harris tilled up Daddy Bo's garden spot for us. Then tonight the Randolph children came over and helped us get the seeds and plants in the ground.

Ellie keeping Jonathan busy.

Rachel was determined to wear a jacket... even though it was way too warm for one!

Sunday Afternoon Game

For several weeks now, Isaac has been "inviting" us to go bowling. This morning, Eddie invited HIM! So after nap time, we loaded up, slipped on some of those beautiful shoes and bowled two games. If course dad won them both but Isaac came in second once and me the other game. Pretty good considering I had a preschooler helping me every time. Jonathan got to where he loved gutter balls. Next time I say we use the gutter guards!!

Meet Bumble Bee

Bubble Bee the cow- that is!
Took the little ones down to see the new baby calves this morning while the guys were at work.
Jonathan and I decided these ladies needed some names.
One of them became Bumble Bee and another became Frosty.

Five new calves!  I had to really look for one of them. When we found her in the grass, she didn't look very well. Sure enough when Eddie and Isaac checked on her later in the day, they determined that the mother had not nursed it. Sure could tell which mommy was hers by the way she was engorged! I promised her if she would let that baby eat, she sure would start to feel better!

What? My little ones have not had soda... yet.... at least to my knowledge.
I just about had the big one when I found Rachel in the golf cart swigging down a Dr. Pepper ....
And worse of all a diet one!
Whew.... Isaac had left an empty can in the cart. Well, I hope it was empty.

More photos from Rally Day

The elevators at the Sheraton must have been a highlight for the kids. They loved looking out the glass- especially on the way to the 28th floor!

Rachel fascinated with the elevators
No wonder- they really were cool elevators!

Rally Day

Rachel with "Jen-Jen" (Jennifer Collins) at the Leadership Luncheon
This year, we decided to leave BOB at home and instead use the umbrella stroller. I knew we would miss BOB but it is much easier to fold the umbrella stroller and stick in a hotel closet.
And Brrr... it was chilly! I sure did not dress the kids warmly enough!

I just love this guy! Even though the photo is blurry, that smile melts my heart!

Our little lady looked so small running around the Plaza outside the War Memorial Auditorium. Bobby Partray made the remark from stage that homeschoolers are weird because we actually enjoy being with our children. I suppose she is correct in that statement. Because I sure do love spending my days with these guys! (Even when they are wild are crazy!)

Happy belated birthday, Isaac!

After watching a show on restaurant recipes, Isaac was dying to try an Outback Blooming Onion. So when his birthday rolled around, I decided to take him to get one. However- every time I tried the restaurant was closed. Ugh. BUT today... Finally! The blooming onion  was his.
Was it worth the wait?
