Fall Cleaning

I don't know what it is- unless it is simply to fact that I love fall. But at our house, we get in the mood for fall cleaning. My sweetheart has spent his afternoon cleaning out from under the house for me! Oh the treasures found. Here's one of them. I'm not sure what year it would have been written... but it is certainly a treasure worth keeping.

Seeking Excellence through the Lord
I reach for spiritual help,
Asking God in all that I do
TO guide my every step.

A sacred light upon the path
My Lord has chosen for me,
Illuminates much better than I,
With worldly light could see.

It lights the path of righteousness
Through the Valley of Death it shines,
Oh Author of All that is good and pure,
Through Christ's salvation is mine.

And with God's help I pray that
Others will always be able to see,
The proper path illuminated,
By the light shining out of me.

Feast of Tabernacles

To kick off the Feast of Tabernacles ( and to celebrate Jacob's 13th birthday) the Morgan's came over and sat up camp in the yard.

Little Jonathan felt rotten. He was asking to "go night-night."

Unwanted Visitor

So... the guys have been serious when they have told me that they heard coyote! Sure enough Isaac and I have seen this one in the yard a couple of times. Just so happened that today I grabbed my camera in time to prove it!

Granny's House

While Isaac and Eddie were away at the Fall Camporee... the little ones and I took a trip to see Granny John. She was so excited to see them!We got to talking about "the home place." I have been by this house for 43 years and never knew this is where Granny grew up! She told me her parents built it when she and Billy (her brother) were small. She lived there until she and Papaw Willie were married. Shortly thereafter, they build their house just next door.
