What kind of animal was in that tree?!
I'm glad I did not know there had been bear activity in this area when we chose this hike, or I would not have gone. I've always had a fear of coming upon a bear while on a hike.

Great pictures! Tell Isaac I hiked to Mt. LeConte, and spent the night at the lodge, when I was in high school. There was record rainfall that weekend, and we literally walked in "rivers" of water on the paths. It was quite memorable! I'm just glad I lived to tell about it, as we had to hold onto the cables in the rock and walk on ledges at some points! That's scary to someone afraid of heights! :D
