Last week, we made our first trip to the doctor with both the little ones (for well checks, thankfully!). And boy was I glad that Laiel went along with us. Her extra loving arms sure came in handy.Rachel is doing wonderfully weighing in at 9.2. And Jonathan is doing great as well and has hit 23 pounds. No wonder I had such a difficult time hauling him around that last month of pregnancy. Jonathan had a red eyelid that I ask Dr Saji to take a look at. He told me it was probably the start of a stye and prescribed some very expensive eye drops. Well, in the past week his eye has not gotten better. In fact, it's much worse. So this morning Dad took him back to the doctor for an antibiotic injection and a prescription of oral antibiotics too. We don't want staph infection (which usually affects the brain when it enters through the eye). Glad Dad insisted on an appointment. I just knew Jonathan would be better "tomorrow." Now maybe he really will be better.... tomorrow.

Court of Honor
I think I was more excited about the Court of Honor with Isaac's new Scout Troop than he was! Maybe it was because he was receiving his very first merit badge...
and a commemorative one at that.
Yippee! I made it to the program- all by myself and on time may I add.
It really was not as difficult as I had once thought... just takes some planning:
diapers, snacks, stroller, extra change of clothes, pacy, bib, camera, etc.
You get the idea.Jonathan with Christopher Beck. I didn't recognize Christopher with his new hair cut!

Thief
I just had to steal these photos from Aunt Sherry.... While on fall break, Ben came down for a visit.
Which meant Jonathan got to see Brody!
And last but not least... Little Lady got to visit with Aunt Sherry. Who by the way made fun of the "Pink Paperclip" that she wore in her hair. Hey... Aunt Sherry is right. They do look like paperclips. I'm still getting a good laugh from the pink paperclip!

Tootsies
A couple of years ago, I received a phone call from a sweet friend. While preparing dinner for her family, she had cut her hand on a can. It was a pretty bad cut that was going to require stitches. We had the honor of having her five children at our house while her husband took her to the ER. We had dinner, baths, watched a Bible video and found sleeping spots for the guys in Isaac's room and the little ladies in the guest room.
It was interested the things that went through my only child's head. The next day, he wanted to know just how many bath towels it took at Ms. Tonya's house. But the best one was when he figured out how many nails she had to trim! A hundred finger and toe nails! Wow! A big difference from our measly 20.
I had to giggle when I trimmed Rachel's nails this week. Twenty more little nails to clip... and oh so cute and tiny.
