Twice this week, I was ask how I make my yogurt. So... I decided to blog it of course!
First I use about 5 cups of milk (goat, raw, or cow). If I happen to be using skim milk, I add about 1/4 cup of powdered milk.

The milk has to be heated just to the point it starts to steam; then allowed to cool.

Once cooled to a safe temperture to add the starter, I take about 1/2 cup in a measuring cup. To this I add either yogurt starter or 1 cup of Stonyfield plain yogurt. Add it back to the remainder of the milk.

Then place the milk into yogurt cups...

place them in the yogurt maker and set it for 12 hours. Any longer and it gets to strong for my crew. Refrigerate for 12 hours and.... Enjoy!!
